They owe you.
Let's make them pay.

We know them from the inside out. Literally.
Courtney Mulqueen started her legal career as a lawyer working for the insurance companies we now sue for our clients. This experience is very helpful to our clients. Her experience at Canada Life and Manulife / OTIP, defending LTD and Life Insurance claims, provides her clients with the advantage of valuable insights and perspectives that can be leveraged to help resolve their cases.

With over 20 years experience litigating LTD cases, Courtney knows the nuances of how each of the insurance companies handle their claims, appeals and their cases in litigation. She knows who their lawyers are and who their representatives (the person at the insurance company who instructs their lawyer) are. She knows what information and what arguments are going to be most persuasive. She even knows which negotiation strategies will be most effective with which insurance company. That's powerful knowledge.

We've sued all of them, more times than we can count.
There are several Life and Health Insurance Companies in Canada that provide Long Term Disability, Critical Illness and Life Insurance coverage under Employee/Association Group Benefit Policies and Plans and under Private/Individual Policies. We've sued all of them, more times than we can count.

If you have insurance with one of the following insurance companies and they have denied or terminated your benefits, your financial situation and your mental health are at serious risk. We encourage you to contact us right away. Time is not on your side. Every day that passes is another day without an income. It will take some time to resolve your case (the timing of every case is different). There is no time to waste*.

There are deadlines for suing insurance companies for LTD benefits.
*There is also a two year limitation period for commencing court actions in Ontario (other provinces may have different limitation periods). It is safest to assume that the limitation period starts to run from the date the insurance company first denied or terminated your claim or the date that benefits stopped or should have started, if they had approved your claim.
If you are concerned that you are now beyond the two year limitation period for starting a court action, contact us immediately to determine if there is still something that can be done. This is a complex assessment that takes a number of factors into consideration and is not an easy determination to make. If there is a way to proceed and potential to be successful, we will do our best to find it.
